All the names in our Resort 2023 collection come from slang used in the '70s. In 70s slang, "hip" was a term used to describe someone who was cool, fashionable, or in the know. It was often associated with the counterculture movement and the hippie subculture, which emphasized individuality, nonconformity, and a rejection of mainstream values. Being "hip" also meant being able to appreciate art and ideas that were outside of the mainstream.
